North Central Programming Contest Saturday at Ferguson Hall

When: Saturday, Nov. 9, all day
Where: Ferguson Hall, City Campus

Lincoln, Neb., Nov. 6, 2002--The University of Nebraska-Lincoln chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery will host the ACM North Central Regional programming contest Nov. 9 at Ferguson Hall on the UNL City Campus.

In the all-day event, students on 31 teams representing 12 colleges and universities will write programs to solve a variety of problems. Each team consists of three students and a coach.

UNL will field five teams and host competitors from Baker University, Creighton University, Doane College, Drake University, Iowa State University, Maharishi University, Mount Marty College, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Southwest (Minn.) State University, the University of Nebraska at Kearney, the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and the University of North Dakota.

The winners of the contest will qualify for the ACM international contest later this year in Beverly Hills, Calif.
