Lincoln, Neb., Nov. 4, 2003 -- A comedy dinner theatre featuring comedian Alexandra McHale will be performed Nov. 11 at the Nebraska Union, 1400 R St., on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln City Campus.
McHale has been featured recently on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, "The Late, Late Show" with Craig Kilborn and Comedy Central's "Premium Blend." She has been voted Female Entertainer of the Year by college students in Campus Activities Today magazine two consecutive years. She has also performed in many theatre productions in the United States and Europe and has performed in the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, as well as the comedy show "New Joke City."
Doors open at 6 p.m., with dinner served at 6:30 and the show beginning at 7. The event costs $5 for students and includes their choice of pasta primavera or chicken marinara for the meal. Tickets for students attending the show but not eating dinner are also $5. Tickets for dinner must be purchased by Nov. 7 from the Information Desk in the Nebraska Union. Tickets purchased after Nov. 7 will be for the show only.
McHale's appearance is presented by the University Program Council, a volunteer student organization designed to address the co-curricular, social, recreational, cultural and educational needs of the UNL campus.
