'Java & Jazz' at Nebraska Union During Finals Week

WHEN: Monday-Wednesday, Dec. 15-17, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
WHERE: Union Square, Nebraska Union, 1400 R St.

Lincoln, Neb., Dec. 10, 2003 -- University of Nebraska-Lincoln Students will have an opportunity to at least briefly escape the pressures of final examinations next week when the University Program Council presents "Java and Jazz" at the Nebraska Union, 1400 R St.

The event will feature free coffee and hot chocolate prepared by University Dining Services accompanied by live jazz performances by local and student musicians. "Java and Jazz" is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 15, 16 and 17 and will take place in the Union Square area. It is presented with the generous support of Lincoln's KZUM radio.

Fall semester final examinations are Dec. 15-19 at UNL, followed by commencement exercises on Dec. 20.

The University Program Council is a volunteer student organization designed to address the co-curricular, social, recreational, cultural and educational needs of the UNL campus.
