Lincoln, Neb., Dec. 15, 2003 -- Big Red spirit, great food and live entertainment will all be part of the pre-game Husker Huddle when Nebraska takes on Michigan State in the Alamo Bowl.
Sponsored by the Nebraska Alumni Association, the Husker Huddle will run from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. (CST) Dec. 29 in Lot No. 1, directly north of the Alamodome. Game time is 8 p.m. Registration for the Husker Huddle costs $40 per person for alumni association members and their guests; $45 for non-members. The cost includes a dinner buffet of brisket and grilled sausage, pom-poms, a cash bar, the NU Spirit Squad, live entertainment, and a free game program to the first 1,000 registrants. Walk-up admission is $10 per person and doesn't include the buffet, game program or pom-poms. The association also is offering a special three-day travel tour that includes accommodations at the team hotel, a game ticket, Husker Huddle admission, game-day transfers and a welcome reception. With airfare, the rate is $1,249 per person (double occupancy); the land-only package is $839 per person (double occupancy). A game-day package, which includes a game ticket and the Husker Huddle, is available for $99 for members and $105 for non-members.
