INNOCENTS SOCIETY REUNION PLANNED SEPT. 25-27

Lincoln (Neb.) - Sept. 21, 1998 - University of Nebraska- Lincoln Innocents Society members from the class of 1949 will hold a 50th reunion in Lincoln Sept. 25-27 in conjunction with the Nebraska-Washington football game.

Twelve of the 13 members are expected to attend the reunion, including former Nebraska Gov. Norbert Tiemann, now of Dallas; Richard Schleusener, president emeritus of the South Dakota School of Mines in Rapid City; and Norm Leger, an off-Broadway playhouse producer/owner in New London, N.H.

The other Innocents returning for the reunion are Dale Ball of Cochiti Lake, N.M., Irv Chesen of Lincoln, Walter Dorothy of Fremont, Robert Easter of Sewell, N.J., Robert Hamilton of Colorado Springs, Colo., Frank Loeffel of Des Moines, Iowa, John Osler of Imperial, Jack Selzer of Scottsbluff, and Ed Trumble of Boulder, Colo.

The reunion opens with a Friday evening cocktail party at the Cornhusker Hotel. On Saturday, the 1949 Innocents will enjoy a pre-game brunch at the Wick Alumni Center before joining the alumni association's Home Huddle festivities, also at the center. Kickoff for the football game is at 2:30 p.m., followed by a reception and dinner at the Cornhusker. The weekend concludes with Sunday brunch at the hotel.

Former NU Dean George Condra founded the NU senior honorary in 1903 to generate university student spirit and leadership.
