Student-centered content takes testimonials further
Summer Sessions knows that while its communications target two broad groups of current UNL students, every student has a different reason for taking a class during a summer term. The challenge was to engage students by reflecting their diversity of purpose as the program catalog moved online.
University Communications recognized that Summer Sessions wanted content - videos, photos and interview copy with real UNL students - that they could use to encourage students to identify their own reason for taking a summer course. Simple, student-focused videos were filmed and posted on a redesigned website and postcards reflecting the video graphics were mailed to students to remind them of the registration dates.
Creating all of the media together with a consistent look made it easier for students to connect with the message. Summer Sessions has a unified package of tools to encourage students to take a summer course.
