** All events will take place at UNL's City Campus Union, with the exception of Friday evening keynote address and reception (Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery).**
Keynote and Featured Speakers include:
2010 No Limits Keynote Speaker Obioma Nnaemeka is a Professor of French, Women’s Studies, and African/African Diaspora Studies and current of the President of the Association of African Women Scholars. She has taught and published extensively on literature, women’s/gender studies, women in development, global feminisms, women in non-Western cultures, and African/African Diaspora studies.
The Keynote will be held in conjunction with the Sheldon Art Gallery's “First Friday” reception. This event also coincides with their exhibition “Shrew’d: The Smart & Sassy Survey of American Women Artists,” which runs from February 12, 2010 thru May 9, 2010. “Women Make Movies: Women Changing the World,” series of movies at the Ross on women's international issues to be screened throughout Women's Week.
Saturday March 6 at the Nebraska City Campus Union will be a roundtable panel, “Community Connections,” featuring alums of our WGS program now working in the community
"No Limits" is an annual student conference dedicated to crossing boundaries between disciplines and exploring a wide range of women's and gender issues.
