WGS major Catherine Tran was a runner up for the College of Arts and Sciences Win Dean Manderscheid's Money Contest.

Catherine answer to Why Should Dean Manderscheid attend your class? "Although transnational and global issues may feel far removed from Lincoln, Dr. Kalisa reminds us in our Women’s and Gender Studies capstone that we are all intimately connected. This class's focus on international issues, as well as different races, cultures, and religions has helped me learn more about and celebrate my identity as a Vietnamese-American woman. Dean Manderscheid should drop in for our discussions on our personal role on the global stage and the relationship between academia, theory, and activism!"

Congratulations Catherine. We are glad to see such enthusiasm for the WGS capstone course.
