Ongoing Support for Students
Peer Mentors:
Each first-year WHT scholars is assigned a peer mentor, a carefully chosen advanced-level student. Each scholar will meet individually with their mentor once per month and participate in group-gatherings with their Mentor and other students assigned to that Mentor. Peer mentors are also available to answer questions and address concerns pertaining to being a student and to pass along important information and resources.
Tutoring:
Free tutoring is available in multiple subjects in the W. H. Thompson Tutoring Lab in Andrews Hall room 103 M-Th 5-8pm. The program also has writing center consultants dedicated to the WHT Scholars who offer one-with-one consulting on writing.
