Happy New Year!
For many, January is a time to make resolutions. These often involve attempting to eat better or get more exercise each day. An easy resolution to keep, one that will certainly improve your mental health, is to continue your participation (or ramp up your involvement) in the UNL Women’s Club interest group gatherings and club events. After all there is little else that improves one’s mood faster than a conversation with friends over a cup of coffee!
Please join me as we continue our 120th anniversary celebration in the spring semester.
First, our Program Chair, Karen Janovy, has planned two really wonderful events for us; one in February, the other in March. Second, our Fundraising Chair, Dana Sexton, has coordinated a fun-filled evening on March 7. Third, our fabulous Spring Luncheon committee, led by Mary Beth Shomos, has prepared our final event of the year on April 8.
The UNLWC board members continue to meet each month to polish final details and to begin looking toward the next term which officially starts on May 1. I invite those of you with interest in getting involved with the leadership of our club to step forward and make it known. Also when you are asked to fill a spot on the board, a committee or to lead an interest group do say YES. We are such a wonderful group of dedicated, intelligent women and have so much to learn from one another.
I look forward to Spring and all it has to offer.
