Ben Nelson worked his way through college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln returning to UNL to receive a Masters Degree and law degree. Before deciding to go into law, Ben felt a strong pull towards the seminary. He was a youth pastor at First Christian Church in Lincoln, and went on to serve as a student minister at five congregations across Nebraska. In 1990, he was elected as Governor of Nebraska. In 1994, he won re-election with a resounding 73 percent of the vote. In 2000, Ben won a very close race to represent Nebraska in the United States Senate. Ben has continually been one of the leading advocates for ethanol and has worked tirelessly to promote renewable fuels. Ben has always been willing to put partisan politics aside to get things done. He is also a strong supporter of 2nd Amendment rights. As a proud grandfather, Ben returns home nearly every weekend to be with his family and with his friends and neighbors, the people of Nebraska.
David Hahn is a fifth generation Nebraskan who resides in Lincoln and is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Law School. Hahn was a trendsetter by employing emerging technologies in conjunction with sound legal practices to save 85% of the family farms and ranches he defended. His interest in information technology has lead to his current position as CEO of New Digital Group. Hahn's experience in business and the law offers a forward-thinking model for economic growth in Nebraska that is consistently grounded in the fundamental values that make this state unique.
Maxine Moul served as Nebraska’s Lieutenant Governor with Governor Ben Nelson from 1991 to 1993. In 1993, Maxine resigned her position as Lieutenant Governor to lead Nebraska's Department of Economic Development. As Director, Maxine supervised a staff of 75 and worked to dramatically increase the federal government's funding of economic development efforts in Nebraska. Maxine left the Department of Economic Development in January 1999 at the end of the Nelson administration and continued to serve the Nebraska Community Foundation in various capacities, retiring as President Emeritus in January 2006. Maxine's lifetime of volunteer work and public service illustrates her commitment to economic and rural development, health care, education and social issues.
Jim Esch, of Omaha , graduated from Creighton University with a degree in Law in 2000. Esch worked for the Steier Group, a national consulting and fund raising firm for not-for-profit organizations. He also worked as a fundraiser for the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce. Esch has previously volunteered with Siena\Francis, the Sacred Heart Parish, the Black Student Catholic Scholarship Fund, and the City of Omaha 's Park and Recreation Advisory Board.
Esch focuses on investing in the future through education, domestic renewable sources of energy, and health insurance for every American.

Scott Kleeb, graduate of Yale, has a Master's Degree in International Relations and a Doctorate focused on the history of American cattle ranching. Most of his research was done from the back of a pick-up, as he traveled through every state west of the Mississippi , listening to the stories of farmers, ranchers and small-town workers. He is currently a ranch hand outside of Dunning, Nebraska .
As an advocate of rural development and community building, Kleeb places a heavy emphasis on bringing technological advances, new energy sources, and an improved educational system to rural Nebraska . Kleeb also understands the crucial role of youth in keeping rural Nebraska alive.
