General Membership Meeting & Professional Development
Featured guest speaker Tracy Lungrin, Associate Director of Career Services, led a workshop titled "Integrating Design Thinking in Career Planning." The workshop was based on the book Designing Your Life, by Bill Burnett & Dave Evans of Stanford University. Attendees were challenged to brainstorm their life design while learning to plan for what cannot always be planned.

Professional Development Event: Finance Roundtable
Young professionals may find themselves asking financial questions they didn't have in the past. Considering buying a house or wondering how to invest your money? At the Finance Roundtable event YPN members were able to choose three table discussions of their choice: buying a house, taxes, investing, and financial goal setting. This event allowed members to ask professionals questions in a personal setting.

Professional Development: #Adulting: Retirement, Insurance + Money
Because being a young professional most likely means tackling some new adulting issues, YPN members gathered to about all things related to 401As, deductibles, out-of-pocket maxes, deductions and budgeting with Gayle Schanou (Human Resources) and Jason Cronick (Fidelity). Young professionals are in a great place to take advantage of retirement growth and make progress toward big dreams for the future, but it’s difficult to know how to get started, so we got a little help from the experts.
