St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church

We can't have full knowledge all at once. We must start by believing; then afterwards we may be led on to master the evidence for ourselves. St. Thomas Aquinas

The Newman Center on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus, established in 1906, is dedicated to serving the spiritual needs of all students, helping them to grow in a relationship with "the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." (John 17:3) and to follow Christ's commands to "love one another" (John 13:34) and to "make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19).

The Newman Center provides many opportunities to serve God and others through: The Sacraments, Bible studies, Catechetical courses, student retreats, service ministries and mission trips. For more information about the opportunities at the Newman Center, visit our website at

Founded in 1998 by Curtis Martin, FOCUS, the Fellowship of Catholic University Students, is a national outreach to colleges and universities throughout the United States. Through small group Bible studies, large group leadership training, and one-on-one mentoring, FOCUS brings the fullness of life and truth in the Catholic Church to college students and gives them the tools to help them share this good news with their friends. FOCUS is working to play a vital role in the new evangelization called for by Pope John Paul II.
