SGIS Graduate Funding Application

Students must complete this form to request support based on different awards offered by SGIS. All awards are linked to specific units of the school, so make sure to apply for the correct one and that you meet the criteria. Each award has specific requirements for who qualifies and for what the funds can be used for. These details are provided on the Student Funding page. To recieve any award, you must be in good standing.

Please combine all documents into one file. Attach any documents that may support your application (this could include a transcript, CV/Resume, etc.) If the award is to support thesis research, please include (1) a synopsis of the thesis proposal; (2) thesis committee members; and, (3) IRB clearance, if applicable. If the award is to support professional travel, please include a presentation abstract and evidence that your submission has been accepted for the conference. If applying for a Geography scholarship attach your current transcript, statement of character, andactivity resume.
