SGIS Undergraduate Funding Application

Students must complete this form to request support based on different awards offered by SGIS. All awards are linked to specific units of the school, so make sure to apply for the correct one and that you meet the criteria. Each award has specific requirements for who qualifies and for what the funds can be used for. These details are provided on the Student Funding page. In order to receive any award, you must be in good standing.

If you'd like to apply for multiple awards, please submit an application for each award. If you have any questions, please connect with an advisor before applying.

NOTE: All spring 2021 applications are closed except for the Hubbard Archaeology Scholarship. This will be open until May 1, 2021.

Supporting Documents
Please combine all documents into one file. Attach any documents that may support your application (this could include a transcript, CV/Resume, etc.) If the award is to support thesis research, please include (1) a synopsis of the thesis proposal; (2) thesis committee members; and, (3) IRB clearance, if applicable. If the award is to support professional travel, please include a presentation abstract and evidence that your submission has been accepted for the conference. If applying for a Geography scholarship attach your current transcript, statement of character, and activity resume.
