About this video

Presented by:  Annette Wragge M.Ed., BCBA and Teri McGill M.Ed., BCBA

Although mental illness can be more common for those on the autism spectrum than in the general population, the mental health of individuals with autism is often overlooked. Common co-occurring difficulties include anxiety, depression, and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). This webinar will provide information to help identify possible red flags that indicate when a person on the autism spectrum may also have some additional mental health needs. The presentation will provide a review of effective approaches to support individuals through difficult moments. During this webinar we will provide a review of additional resources for attendees to gain more information and supports on the topic of autism and mental health. This webinar will include a variety of universal, NeMTSS Tier 1 supports that can be implemented to support all learners. For more information on NeMTSS visit https://nemtss.unl.edu/about/.
