Deb Rauner, MS Ed.

Part 2 will focus on teaching and generalizing verbal behavior skills in the natural environment. Easy to use strategies to help students connect their verbal behavior skills to activities in the natural environment will be shared. Generalization of skills in the natural environment leads to more independence and successful participation in a variety of activities. Completing the AFLS assessment and using that information to develop an individualized functional curriculum could be a NeMTSS Tier 3 support. Using information from the AFLS and targeting functional skill development in small groups could be a NeMTSS Tier 2 support. For more information on NeMTSS visit https://nemtss.unl.edu/about/.
