Format for the APC's Open Discussion Sessions and Hearings - 2nd Round - FY 2002 & 2003 Budget Reduction Process

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Academic Planning Committee has scheduled a series of four public hearings May 1-6 to discuss proposed budget reductions at the university. All sessions are open to the public. The schedule for the hearnings follows:

 
Open hearing on any proposed budget reduction—this session is open to the public
Date: May 1, 2002
Place: Nebraska Union/City Campus (Auditorium)
1:00-1:15pm: Those wishing to testify should sign in.
1:15-5:00pm: Open testimony will be heard. Length of testimony and questions from APC will be limited to five minutes for each individual.
Invited presenters on the Division of Continuing Studies and Panhandle Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory—this session is open to the public
Date: May 3, 2002
Place: Nebraska Union/City Campus (Auditorium)
1:00-1:10pm APC Chair will announce the order of invited presenters.
1:10-2:45pm APC discusses proposed budget reduction issues related to the Division of Continuing Studies with invited presenters.
2:45-4:30pm APC discusses proposed budget reduction issues related to the Pannhandle Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory with invited presenters.

Open Video Conference Pertaining to Proposed Closing of the Panhandle Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory—this session is open to the public (Note: Times in left hand column are shown in Mountain Daylight Time)

Sites: Room 116 L.W. Chase Hall/ East Campus

Panhandle Research and Extension Center Auditorium, Scottsbluff
12:40-1:00pm (MDT) Those wishing to testify should sign in.
1:00-2:50pm (MDT) APC will hear testimony from invited presenters and from individuals wishing to testify. The length of testimony and questions from members of the APC will be limited to five minutes for each individual.
Invited presenters on proposed budget reduction for the Division of Continuing Studies—this session is open to the public
Date: May 8, 2002
Place: Nebraska Union, City Campus (room TBA)
2:00-4:00pm APC will hear testimony from invited presenters and from individuals wishing to testify regarding the proposed budget reduction for the Division of Continuing Studies.
