Seeking Campus Input – EVCAA Interviews & N2025 Strategic Plan

Dear colleagues,

We have now reached the midpoint of our on-campus interviews of candidates for the position of Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. I’m grateful to everyone who has engaged with the candidates thus far and encourage everyone to participate in the remaining interviews. Public presentations by the candidates will be held today, Oct. 10, and Tuesday, Oct. 15 – both at 3:00pm in the Nebraska Union’s Swanson Auditorium, followed by receptions.

If you would like to view recorded videos of one or more of the candidates’ presentations, you may request a private link by contacting Renee Hagerman. We would very much appreciate your feedback on these candidates by Friday, Oct. 18. You can provide feedback through this link.

You may recall that earlier this year, during our Charter Week celebration, I announced formation of the N2025 Strategy Team. The team’s charge was to develop the initial five-year strategic plan based on the Nebraska 150 Commission’s call for the university to reach for greater heights in its next generation. The 32 member N2025 Strategy Team – led by faculty co-chairs Angie Pannier, Rick Bevins, Shane Farritor and Sue Sheridan – built upon the good work of the N150 Commission.

The draft report of the N2025 Strategy Team is now available for review by the full campus community. I am hopeful every member of our university family will take the time to read the draft report and provide feedback, either by using this link or by attending general discussion sessions on Thursday, Oct. 24 (3:00-3:45 p.m) or Wednesday, Oct. 30 (10:00-10:45 a.m.), both in the Nebraska Union.

The overarching principle of the draft report states that every person and every interaction matters. Please take a few minutes to help us chart our bold new future.

With thanks for all you do,
