COVID-19 Update: Lancaster County Face Mask Requirements

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff –

Earlier this afternoon, the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department announced new requirements for the use of face masks indoors. UNL will be implementing this requirement in all indoor spaces beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, August 25. Face masks will be now required in all indoor spaces. This policy will remain in effect for the duration of the county’s directed health measure, which currently extends to September 30.

Welcome to the fall 2021 semester

To our students, our faculty and our staff: welcome to our fall 2021 semester at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln!

A lot has happened over the last year and a half. And while we were able to be largely in-person last year, it may be your first time back on campus in a while. And that’s certainly true for our first-time students.

Campus COVID-19 Updates

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff –

As I’ve walked our campuses this week, it has been incredible to see them coming to life with students moving back into the residence halls, the marching band beginning its fall camp, sorority recruitment and so many welcome activities slated.

Fall Semester Update – COVID-19 Protocols

Dear UNL Students, Faculty and Staff –

I hope all of you have enjoyed an invigorating and healthy summer. I’m not sure I have ever looked forward to the beginning of a Fall semester like I am this one. I cannot wait to see our community back in our classrooms, residential units, and laboratories and creative spaces. And to see our students, faculty and staff personally engaged in learning and activities across our campuses.
