<p>Nebraska scholars Kwakiutl Dreher, William Thomas and Michael Burton are developing “The Bell Affair: A Film Reframing American Slavery and Freedom,” an hour-long documentary, set in 1830s Washington D.C. The film project recently received funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities.</p>
