Professor Matt Cohen has earned the David Greetham Prize from the Society for Textual Scholarship (STS) for contributions to textual research as demonstrated through his essay "Time and the Bibliographer".
The prize recognizes the author of the best article published in the Society of Textual Scholarship's journal, Textual Cultures, during the two calendar years since the previous award. Originally called the Textual Cultures Essay Award, it was renamed to honor Greetham's contributions to the organization.
Cohen studies literature and its history and has written or edited six books. He leads the Cohen Lab and is co-director of the online archives for Walt Whitman and Charles W. Chesnutt. He is also president of the STS Executive Board.
