Meet Rose Kottwitz

For her Honors senior project, Rose Kottwitz is creating and publishing her own literary magazine, called "Semitas Magazine." As part of the project, Rose is seeking and reviewing submissions, editing and designing the magazine, and publishing it in both physical and digital formats. She aims to support the works of emerging writers and those seeking a first publishing opportunity.

Rose hopes to someday work in publishing, and says going through the entire process of publishing a literary magazine on her own has taught her a lot about the types of decisions that must be made in the field.

"It's exciting work, but it also requires a lot of time and effort to make it the best it can be, which is what makes it so rewarding," she said.
