“Bloodletting,” a short story by fiction writer and Assistant Professor of Practice Pascha Sotolongo Stevenson, was chosen as Narrative’s July 4 Story of the Week. The prestigious literary magazine selects one notable story and one poem each week for its weekly column, which are featured on its home page and added to its permanent archive.

Pascha Sotolongo Stevenson is a fiction writer occupied by Latinx identities and their intersection with class, gender, and postcolonial motifs. She holds an M.A. in English from the University of Central Missouri and a Ph.D. in English, specializing in Latinx literature and feminist and postcolonial theory, from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
