This summer, the UNL Writing Center is excited to offer a virtual writing retreat and summer writing groups for graduate students and faculty.
The Writing Center is offering online and in-person appointments this summer, Monday-Thursday, May 16 to July 8, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. These one-with-one writing consultations are available to all members of the UNL community (students, faculty, and staff). To schedule an appointment with a writing consultant, visit the Writing Center website.
The Writing Center is offering a virtual writing retreat for graduate students and faculty May 18-19. In addition to dedicated writing time, the retreat will also include wellness activities such as virtual yoga and mindfulness sessions. Writing Consultants will be available for online consultations. While the retreat will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, attendees need not participate in every scheduled activity or writing session. This retreat is sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences and CAS’s IDEA Committee, and it is offered free of charge.
To register, please fill out the May 2022 Writing Center/IDEA Virtual Writing Retreat registration form.
From May 23-July 8, Writing Center staff will host weekly meetings for graduate student and faculty writers who are interested in building community and accountability into their writing practice. Groups will be composed of approximately four writers and will meet for 75 minutes at the same time every week.
Interested writers should complete this sign-up form no later than Friday, May 13.
