Search Process Seminars

University faculty and staff members (including Graduate Assistants and Teaching Assistants) serving on a search committee are required to attend an educational seminar covering legal issues and university policies and procedures prior to the first meeting of the search committee. Although not mandatory, students and community members serving on a search committee are encouraged to attend these educational seminars.

The seminar is a 60-minute session that covers the most common issues that arise during the search process. It also provides information outlining the process from start to finish. By completing the seminar, you will recieve a three-year certification to serve on search committees. Please be advised seminars may be cancelled due to low enrollment. For accommodation assistance, please call IEC at (402) 472-3417 two weeks prior to the seminar. Please note: seminars are not offered in July and August.

Registration can be completed at

First: Choose the seminar you would like to attend, add it to your cart and click Checkout.  

Second: Sign in using your TrueYou ID and password.  

Third: Complete the check-out process by clicking Submit.  

Shortly after completing the check-out process, you will recieve a confirmation email.  Please download or print the attached materials before attending the seminar.
