Why I joined GIS: "I joined GIS to find community and build connections within the actuarial department. Actuarial science can be difficult, but GIS has given me a supportive community where I can ask questions and learn more about the field. I also love the balance of networking events and speakers from big companies because it gives me a well-rounded view of actuarial science as a whole."

Why I joined GIS: "After traveling with everyone to the Drake Symposium, I felt like I joined a big family. I have met some of my best friends through GIS and made connections with many industry professionals. The only thing I regret is not joining GIS sooner!"

Through activities at networking meetings to social events, I found more people who understand me and my career in GIS than I've ever found anywhere else. The consistent opportunity to always meet new people is a definite bonus also."
