Leadership is defined as the ability to influence others toward the achievement of a common goal, but leadership styles are developed over time and with experience; often shaped by both personal strengths and weaknesses. There are myriad leadership styles to draw from: authentic, authoritative, principled, situational, transformational, participative, et cetera, yet many share common attributes such as honesty and integrity, the ability to see the big picture, enthusiasm, credibility, self-awareness, courage, confidence, and kindness.
