General Overview

Chapters of Integrity

The Chapters of Integrity benchmarking program is a chapter-reported tool that the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life uses to both recognize and evaluate our chapters at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The tool is routed in the six campus values of the Show Your Red character campaign of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; all building blocks were selected by students as the Building Blocks of Integrity. The Building Blocks of Integrity are Caring, Citizenship, Commitment, Dependability, Open-Mindedness, and Respect.

Chapters are evaluated on self-evaluation and reporting. Chapters are responsible for describing how their activities over the course of the calendar year indicate commitment to living lives of integrity and fulfill the foundational values of being a True Husker. Chapters who complete and meet the needed benchmark of all six building blocks will be recognized as a Chapter of Integrity. Results will be published on the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life website.

Community Excellence Awards

The Community Excellence Awards is a recognition program that the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life uses to recognize chapters who go above and beyond the standards outlined in the Chapters of Integrity program. As a part of the Community Excellence awards, the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life seeks to recognize both individuals and chapters for their significant contributions to the Greek community at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Organizations may apply for as many Community Excellence awards as they choose, as long as they are also applying for the corresponding Building Block of the Chapters of Integrity program. Organizations will not be considered as applicants for a Community Excellence Award if they do not identify on their application cover which chapter award they are applying for. There will be one fraternity and one sorority recognized for their excellence from the previous calendar year. Individual Community Excellence awards can be submitted using the individual application form.
