Murphy celebrates the flurry of activity before graduation
Maggie Murphy, a textiles, merchandising, and fashion design major from Omaha, may have come to campus with reservations and vulnerability. But after seeking out communities on campus and immersing herself in her major, the May 2023 grad found her home at Nebraska.

Suh scholarship helps Tharp flourish in pursuit of engineering degree
Andre Tharp III, an electrical engineering major with a minor in computer science from Portland, Oregon, and Sacramento, California, is heavily involved on campus, from joining a fraternity to serving as a leader in recognized student organizations that allow him to build his engineering skills. With financial aid from the Ndamukong Suh Engineering Scholarship, Tharp has flourished in Nebraska Engineering. Keep reading to learn more about his experience and watch a month in his life.

Twiss finds community, growth as part of Teacher Scholars Academy
Growing up in her hometown of Central City, Nebraska — population 3,024 — Morgan Twiss remembers nearly always wanting to be a teacher, and after she graduates May 20 as a member of the inaugural cohort of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Teacher Scholars Academy, she’ll begin her career at Elliott Elementary in Lincoln, where she’ll teach second grade.
