Special Projects Grants Program (SPGP)

Funds from the SPGP shall promote professional development and networking opportunities for graduate students at the University. These funds shall support diverse programming of activities, events, or projects in the various academic, professional, and disciplinary fields represented within the University.

SPGP Application

The application for the Special Projects Grants Program should use the word document template and be submitted as a word doc or pdf file to spgp@unl.edu. Please include your last name and application date in the name of the file (e.g. "Stehle_Fall2019.pdf").

Questions regarding the SPGP application can also be submitted to the same email. Any applications that do not answer all questions in the template or that are submitted after the deadline will not be considered for funding.

To complete the application, you will need to submit a detailed description of the activity, event, or project that you are planning, along with an agenda and a budget. These items should describe how your project meets the evaluation criteria:
1) Impact of the project (e.g., how many graduate students will this affect?)
2) Need for the project (e.g., are you filling a gap at UNL?)
3) Preparation (e.g., what planning has already been completed?)
4) Financial need (e.g., have you secured additional funding from other sources?)

Please read the Special Rules for further details.
