52 copies of Scholars and Poets Talk About Queens sold at the book's launch on Saturday, April 18 at the Noyes Art Gallery.

Carole Levin, director of the Medieval and Renaissance Studies program and Willa Cather Professor of History, signed - and sold out of - copies of the book. The collection of essays and creative pieces was edited by Levin and with Associate Editor Christine Stewart-Nunez.

The program also benefitted. For every copy sold, Levin gave $10 to the Medieval and Renaissance Studies Excellence Fund. The fund supports research trips and conferences for graduate students, contest awards, and the annual Mary Martin McLaughlin Memorial lecture that brings a medievalist to campus to each year to speak on medieval women.

After Levin and a friend each contributed additional funds, more than $2,000 was added.
