I was born in Juarez, Mexico and grew up in El Paso, Texas, and Lexington, Nebraska. After graduating from Lexington High School, I attended the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and earned a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Spanish. I then earned my master's degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education at Colorado State University.
When I first left home for college, I felt the pressure of doing well in school because, not only did I have my dreams ahead of me, but my family’s dreams as well. However, every struggle I endured helped develop me into the leader I am today. I learned how to succeed and do well academically. Now, I am lucky to now get up every morning and do my best to positively impact the education and lives of college students. Outside of work I enjoy running, soccer and spending time with my family.
