Chapter Projects

UNL PRSSA has brought several exciting campaigns and events to UNL's campus over the past few years. These range from fundraisers for the organization, to guest lectures by nationally known PR professionals.

Lincoln CAN

UNL PRSSA is partnering with the Food Bank of Lincoln and the Civic Engagement Center to challenge RSO on campus to join in the fight against hunger. Lincoln CAN event will be on October 1 from 2-4 p.m. on the East Campus Mall.

Redirect the Conversation

The 2017 PRSSA Bateman team implemented the campaign Redirect the Conversation in conjunction with The Campaign to Change Direction to show that mental health is as important as physical health and raise awareness on  how we think and talk about mental health.

Duty Always Campaign

In 2016, PRSSA's Bateman Competition team partnered with the UNL Student Veterans Organization (SVO) to launch the Duty Always campaign, advancing the Student Veterans of America’s (SVA) mission.

Coffee with a Cause

In 2015, PRSSA worked with the Arbor Day Foundation to spread knowledge about the benefits of shade-grown coffee and develop a plan for promoting it at other colleges in the future.

In 2013, UNL PRSSA partnered with Lincoln businesses to host a PB&J food drive. Area restaurants participated by serving unique PB&J recipes on National PB&J Day (April 2).

BackPack Program

As part of PB&J in LNK 2012, PRSSA donated $200 to the BackPack Program, which provided one child with a backpack full of food each weekend for an entire school year.
