Research in the Herr Lab is focused on the genomics and metagenomics of microbial interactions. The Lab’s main interest centers around understanding the symbiosis of mycorrhizal-plant interactions, but researchers follow interesting research questions wherever they may exist. Research generally takes the form of environmental and laboratory studies, although computational and bioinformatic techniques are heavily utilized.
