The 2006 USREV program was open this year for the first time to all interested students of current sophomore or junior standing who have an interest in virology research and attend colleges outside the state of Nebraska. Previous candidates were students at Truman State University in Missouri. Our students this year included Chris Pelham from Northwest Missouri State University, Julie Frick form Texas A&M, and Martha Clayes-Jacoboson, Stephanie Pratt, and Lara House from Truman State University. Their mentors were Dr. Clinton Jones, Dr. Peter Angeletti, Dr. Charles Wood, Dr. Robert Weldon, Jr., and Dr. Tom Petro respectively.
