We are delighted to announce this year’s winners for the Womens and Gender Studies Awards.

Outstanding Student Achievement Award

This award is given to an undergraduate student who has done outstanding work in Women’s and Gender Studies at Nebraska during the last two completed semesters. This award recognizes contributions to Women’s and Gender Studies within an academic, activist, and community framework. This award is given to a student who shows evidence of contributions to the campus and/or wider community, through academic work, campus or community activism, internships on campus or in the community, and/or unpublished term papers, projects, or creative work.

Karen Dunning Undergraduate Scholarly/Creative Project Award

This award is presented to one undergraduate student on the basis of their project’s relevance to Women’s and Gender Studies, quality of the work, originality, and potential impact to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus and/or community.

Karen Dunning Graduate Scholarly/Creative Project Award

This award is presented to one graduate student on the basis of their project’s relevance to Women’s and Gender Studies, quality of the work, originality, and potential impact to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus and/or community.

WGS Graduate Student Travel Award

This award is given to graduate students who present their scholarship and/or creative work at professional conferences, thereby enriching their training in Women’s and Gender Studies and enhancing their professional preparation.
