Our very own Rose Holz and her amazing research was recently spotlighted in the Daily Nebraskan. Her ability to teach controversial topics in ways that allow students to feel comfortable to learn is featured in this article below.

Not only does this article highlight Holz's research on the Birth Series Sculptures, created by Dr. Robert L. Dickinson and sculptor Abram Belskie in 1939, but demonstrates that controversial topics like reproductive health can be level-headed and reasonable.

Here Holz is quoted "I like to say that I don’t have an activist bone in my body. I’m teaching it, but I’m not trying to convince people one way or another,” she said. “So conservative upbringing, not an activist, and yet here I am, eyeball deep in one of the hottest issues of reproductive politics.”
