Meredith is a Women’s/Gender Studies alumna, having received her bachelor's degree in WGS in 2015. While an undergrad, she was an advocacy intern at Planned Parenthood, and helped revive WGS-affiliated student groups, SAGE and Students for Choice. She went on to earn her master’s degree in Child, Youth and Family Studies with a specialization in International Family Studies in 2020. She is currently the administrative coordinator of UNL’s Center for Advocacy, Response & Education (CARE), where she keeps the CARE team organized and assists in various areas such as data, communications, event planning, and intake processes. Meredith’s background includes a variety of roles supporting people, including working at a substance abuse treatment center for women, psychotherapy clinics, a national research project on early childhood, and in community outreach at a local mentoring program.
