Dr. Burnett currently serves as the Assistant Director for Academic Enhancement for the University Honors Program at UNL, and has been a WGS instructor for many years. Dr. Burnett's areas of interest are television and film studies, gender in popular culture, women’s and gender studies, twentieth-century American literature and culture. In the Honors Program, she specializes in helping students with the process of writing an undergraduate Honors thesis. Dr. Burnett is also an executive team member for the Southwest Popular/American Culture Association, which hosts a large, international scholarly conference each year.
