Student Advisory Board

The board's primary purpose shall be to advocate educational quality in the college. The board shall establish and maintain open channels of communication with students in order to gain student's opinions and concerns. To keep students informed to all college issues. The board shall ensure that the interests of students and their ogranizations are adequately represented in the decision-making process concerning the programs and policies of the college. Authority to represent the student interests shall include the appointment of students to faculty committees within the college. The board shall seek to provide increasing opporunities for formal and informal contact for all students with the college faculty committees within the college. The board shall seek to provide increasing opportunities for formal and informal contact for all students with the college faculty and professional community. The board shall assist the dean with special projects, including student alumni relations. This includes, but is not limited to: producing the publication J-talk, maintaining the board's Web site, and assisting with J days at the dean requests.
