Congratulations to Dr. Emily Kazyak on winning the College Distinguished Teaching Award! This award is presented by the College of Arts and Sciences for "consistent excellence in teaching."
"Kazyak is a dedicated and accomplished teacher," reads a part of the nomination letter. "As one student said in 2019: ‘Kazyak is kind, attentive, reliable, prepared, a great force in the classroom!’ She is also a force for students outside the classroom which makes her exceptionally qualified for this award. Mentoring students, revising curriculum, supporting professional development, and creating new courses to meet programmatic needs on top of excellent classes distinguish her."
