2nd ANNUAL CZECH LANGUAGE FOUNDATION RECOGNITION AND AWARDS BANQUET

Dr. Mila Rechcigl, President of the Czechoslovak Society of Arts and Sciences (SVU), will be the guest speaker. The banquet will feature Czech food and will be attended by many important people. Dr. Rechcigl’s talk is entitled:

President Bush Has Czech Roots. Guess Who Else?

A Journey Through Four Centuries Plus of Czech and Slovak Immigration to the US

This talk should be especially appealing to genealogy enthusiasts. The Cornhusker Ballroom will open at 5:00 p.m., with the festivities starting at 5:30 p.m. There will be a Silent Auction held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The highest bidders will be announced at 9:30 that evening. Following the meal we will have a polka dance featuring Sue and the Blue River Czechs from Crete, Nebraska. The band will play from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. Tickets for the banquet and the dance are $30.00 per person in advance, $35.00 at the door. Tickets for the dance only are available for $5.00 in advance and $8.00 at the door.
