As a student photographer, Kylie Galvin is a pro at showing campus through her lens. She takes us through campus to show what goes on after classes let out — from competing against friends in intramural sports to grabbing an evening pick-me-up and more.
Monday, November 27
Campus Recreation Center // 8:40pm
Coming back from break, students can be found hitting the Rec Center in the evening time to catch up with friends or get in a late-night workout.

Outdoor Adventure Center // 9:23pm
At the Outdoor Adventure Center, open until 10pm, you can find the rock-climbing wall where students like Easton Wieczorek opt for a later and quieter rock-climbing session.


Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts // 9:55pm
Creativity never sleeps at the EMA Center: here you’ll find many students like Abi Trembly and Megan Kolbe rendering models or students like Karston Chase and Michael Pritza setting up and configuring a Facial Motion Capture System for their final projects.


Tuesday, November 28
Dinsdale Family Learning Commons // 8:40pm
Lauren Secilmis, Alexis Jones and Katy Beth Ezell meet up in the East Campus library to study for their third-year comprehensive oral exam for their doctorate of audiology.

UNL Dairy Store // 8:50pm
Located on UNL’s East Campus is the UNL Dairy Store where students can enjoy various handmade ice-creams. Open until 9pm, this is the perfect late-night study and treat spot where you might meet and get served the perfect cone by student worker Krystian Dinh.


Wednesday, November 29
Nebraska Union Starbucks // 7:15pm
Student Workers Gabby Gomez, Katie Berck, and Brynley Wood, prepare specialty coffees and drinks for those looking for the perfect evening pick-me-up.


Nebraska Union // 7:23pm
On Wednesday, ASUN held its weekly senate meeting. At this week’s meeting, they discussed budget cuts and spring 2024 elections.

Morrill Hall // 8:05pm
Illuminated by the lights outside of Morrill Hall stands the bronze sculpture of Archie the Mammoth. It is said that students will earn good luck if they reach out and touch Archie’s outstretched foot.

Thursday, November 30
Nebraska Union Ballroom // 6:10pm
On Thursday, the University of Nebraska Intertribal Exchange (UNITE) hosted their annual Native American Heritage Showcase during Native American Heritage Month. They brought many speakers and dancers in an effort to spread more information about Native American heritage: including Leah Goddard of the Omaha Tribe showcasing the traditional dance Women’s Fancy Shawl.

Adele Coryell Learning Commons // 7:43pm
In preparation for fall semester finals, you can find students in the library prepping for exams day and night. Love Library is open until 10pm, but students looking to get in a midnight study session can inhabit the first floor of the Learning Commons until 1am with their NCard.


Marcus Lincoln Grand Cinema // 8:07pm
College students looking for a midweek study break can head to The Grand located on P Street in Downtown Lincoln on Thursdays for Student Thursdays. Students who bring a avalid school ID can get discounted tickets and a free popcorn!

Friday, December 1
Nebraska Union // 7pm
Campus Nightlife, an RSO at UNL, put on a Holiday Sho Ho Ho Down. Students were able to compete in three rounds of ornament painting, cookie decorating and gingerbread house making to earn prizes and have some holiday fun. The event was accompanied by live music from pianist, student Everett Swartz.


Nebraska Union // 8:20pm
UNL’s The Red Keys, an A Cappella group on campus, hosted their winter showcase in the Swanson Auditorium to highlight all their hard work and talent from this semester.
