Just because the weather is chilly doesn’t mean you can’t find a new spot to inspire you while you study. Check out a few winter study spots on campus and nearby.
Nebraska Union/East Union
With all the places you can study in the Unions, you’re sure to find the perfect spot for you, whether you prefer the quiet or like to listen to the sounds of campus while you work. Bonus: Coffee is usually nearby 👀
A Local Coffee Shop

If you’re okay with braving the winter weather, local coffee shops provide the perfect change of scenery to work on a paper or study for an upcoming test. From The Mill to The Coffee House to Cultiva, there are several just a short distance from both City and East Campus.
The Stacks

If you need a quiet place to study, the stacks in Love Library South are the perfect spot. Be sure to find a desk with a good view of the city so you can take a break and watch the squirrels 😍
Your College

If you don’t have much time between classes, check out some of the study spots in your college building (especially if they’re offering you some much-needed sunlight during the winter)!
The Learning Commons

The Adele Coryell Learning Commons on City Campus and the Dinsdale Learning Commons on East Campus are definitely campus favorites. Find a desk by the windows to watch the falling snow or reserve your own study room.
Mandala Lounge

The Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center has several great study spots for students to use. Check out the Mandala Lounge on the second floor for a quiet place to focus with good views of City Campus.
