The ASD Transition Program provides newly enrolled students with Autism Spectrum Disorder access to self-assessment, education, and action steps intended to help support a smooth transition into college life at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Eligible students will meet with their Disability Specialist 4 times in the first enrolled semester. These meetings will take place in weeks 1, 2, 4, and 8 during the 16 weeks-long semester. The meetings will include instruction and discussions regarding topics such as: attendance, course organization, communicating with instructors, study skills and habits, starting projects or papers, and accessing other valuable campus resources that can help with time management and managing stress.
