I loved going to the Drake Symposium with GIS and being able to network with other GIS students from various schools. I also learned a lot when GIS hosted the Director of Nebraska Department of Insurance and the Executive Director of Nebraska Insurance Federations; they had great insight to the legal side of insurance. And above all, I enjoyed spending time with other actuarial science students!

The most rewarding part of being a member of GIS is being surrounded by incredibly hardworking and motivated people who all contribute something different. I enjoyed going to an Iowa Cubs game in Des Moines, attending Insurtech on the Silicon Prairie, and experiencing the GIS annual conference.
