The Women's and Gender Studies Program extends an invitation to attend the annual Charles & Linda Wilson HMED Lecture. The guest speaker is New York Times best-selling author Janice P. Nimura, author of The Sisters Blackwell: How Two Pioneering Sisters Brought Medicine to Women and Women to Medicine. The book is a fascinating biography of Elizabeth Blackwell, M.D. (the 1st American woman to earn a medical degree) and her sister Emily Blackwell, M.D. (the 3rd American woman to earn a medical degree). The event will be held Tuesday, April 12th at 3:30 p.m. in the Sheldon Museum of Art.
