As part of their mission to promote the exploration of ethics and critical thinking across the discipline, the Ethics Center hosts a Brown Bag Luncheon series. These monthly lunches provide an interdisciplinary forum for university faculty, students, and staff to discuss ethical issues and projects that arise or are underway throughout the academic community.

Featured this semester are two WGS program faculty members, Dr. Abla Hasan, Assistant Professor of Practice in Modern Languages and Literatures, and Dr. Emily Kazyak, Assistant Professor of Sociology and Women's & Gender Studies. Dr. Hasan will be speaking on Wednesday, January 20th, and her presentation, 'Syria: An Ongoing Journey into the Unknown', will draw on her expertise as a scholar of philosophy and language as well as her experience as a Syrian to explore the current situation in Syria and what the future may hold for the Syrian people.

Dr. Kazyak's presentation, "LGBTQA+ and Research Ethics," will take place on Monday, March 7th.

All events are free and open to the public, and take place from 12-1:30pm in the City Campus Union.
