Prospective Students

UNL NROTC

The Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln welcomes all who are up for the challenge of becoming a Naval or Marine Corps Officer. While working towards your degree in a variety of majors and a commission in the Naval Services, you will take part in leadership training and education that will go beyond an average college experience. Along with an education and commission you will work with a variety of peers from all across the country who share the common interest of defending our country.

If you are applying to The University of Nebraska as a Freshman, and you intend on participating in ROTC, we strongly recommend joining the Joint ROTC Learning Community. As a member of the Learning Community, you would be placed together with other ROTC students in university dorm-style housing. This learning community is commonly in Abel Hall.

You would be authorized to use the Learning Community tutors and participate in exclusive events. To join, simply sign up to participate in your UNL Housing Contract, which becomes available in late January and is due April 1. For more information, visit the Joint ROTC Learning Community homepage.
